C\u2019est l\u2019histoire de sept personnes qui passent la nuit dans un hotel qui \u00e0 la particularit\u00e9 d\u2019avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 construit dans deux \u00e9tats Am\u00e9ricains : La Californie et le Nevada. Ces sept personnes ont toutes un secret qu\u2019elles ne voudraient pour rien au monde \u00eatre r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9.<\/b><\/p>\n

Tel est le pitch de <\/span>Sale Temps \u00e0 l’H\u00f4tel El Royale.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

L’atmosph\u00e8re du film est rapidement pesante. On essaie de comprendre ce qui se passe. On essaie de comprendre la raison de leur s\u00e9jour dans l\u2019h\u00f4tel qui n\u2019est pas un <\/span>\u00ab h\u00f4tel pour les pr\u00eatres \u00bb, <\/i><\/b><\/span>phrase dite lors de l\u2019arriv\u00e9e du P\u00e8re Daniel Flynn, personnage interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 par <\/span>Jeff Bridges<\/b><\/span>. L’h\u00f4tel est habit\u00e9 par une chanteuse, un preneur d\u2019otage, un agent de la CIA, le concierge, un ancien braqueur et le gourou d\u2019une secte.<\/span><\/p>\n

Afin d\u2019en savoir plus sur les personnages, le film retrace la vie de chacun d\u2019entre eux, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 leur arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 l’h\u00f4tel. <\/span>Les m\u00eames sc\u00e8nes sont film\u00e9es de mani\u00e8res diff\u00e9rentes afin d\u2019\u00e9clairer le spectateur.<\/b><\/span> Ce qu\u2019ils ne savent pas c\u2019est qu\u2019ils sont surveill\u00e9s par la direction de l’h\u00f4tel dont on ignore l\u2019identit\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n

L’h\u00f4tel semble \u00eatre en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 la m\u00e9taphore du purgatoire<\/b><\/span> dans lequel les personnages se trouvent lors du jugement dernier, avant de savoir s\u2019ils iront en enfer ou au paradis. <\/span>Ce film est un v\u00e9ritable huis-clos dont la seule issue semble \u00eatre la v\u00e9rit\u00e9.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Le r\u00e9alisateur joue brillamment avec la musique et le silence, ce qui accentue la lourde atmosph\u00e8re des lieux. A plusieurs reprises,<\/span> Darlene Sweet (Cynthia Erivo) <\/b><\/span>chante a capella avec une r\u00e9verbe impressionnante.<\/span><\/p>\n

L\u2019empathie pour les personnages semble n\u00e9anmoins difficile.<\/b><\/span> Le spectateur peut comprendre, accepter ou non les actions des personnages, mais compatir reste compliqu\u00e9. <\/span>On a la nette impression que les spectateurs sont la fameuse direction de l\u2019h\u00f4tel qui regarde leurs propres actions comme des v\u00e9ritables voyeurs.<\/b><\/span> Mais la volont\u00e9 de conna\u00eetre le fin mot de cette histoire est la preuve que les acteurs ont compris et ont su interpr\u00e9ter leurs personnages, en particulier <\/span>Chris Hemsworth<\/b><\/span> en gourou de secte, <\/span>Jeff Bridges<\/b><\/span> en pr\u00eate cachotier et <\/span>Cynthia Erivo<\/b><\/span> en chanteuse tourment\u00e9e.<\/span><\/p>\n
